Data We Access
Goaltend requests read-only access to your Apple Health workout data to:
- Calculate your fitness achievements and progress
- Display your workout statistics and milestones
- Track your goal progress automatically
How We Protect Your Data
Your privacy is our top priority:
- Local Storage Only: All your workout data and goals remain stored locally on your device
- No Cloud Storage: We do not upload, sync, or store your personal fitness data on our servers
- No User Accounts: No registration, login, or account creation required
- No Data Sharing: We never share, sell, or distribute your personal fitness information
- Apple Health Integration: Data access is managed entirely through Apple's secure HealthKit framework
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how our app is used, which helps us improve the user experience. This analytics data is:
- Completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you
- Limited to app usage patterns (like which features are used most)
- Does not include any of your personal fitness data or goals
Permissions
Goaltend only requests the following permissions:
- Apple Health: Read-only access to workout data for goal calculation
- Notifications: Optional permission to celebrate your achievements
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- Your data is retained only as long as the app is installed
- Deleting the app removes all associated data
- We have no access to retrieve or restore your data once deleted
Children's Privacy
Goaltend is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
